LAB 




The LAB is an ever-evolving research and residency program at A.P.E. that fosters space for artists to learn, develop new work, and explore creative craft and practice in the company of fellow artists. Originally conceived in collaboration with Serious Play Theatre Ensemble as a mentorship program for emerging artists, the LAB has taken various forms over subsequent years, always maintaining its central intent as a place of connection, dialogue, and mutual-support for artists with resonant practices and inquiry.  

Participating LAB artists have included Acadia Barrengos, Mary Beth Brooker, Isabelle Bushue, Marcia Gomes, Katrina Goldsaito, Indë, Jo Kent Katz, Trenda Loftin, NAGO, Jackson Pelz, Ashley Shey, Devlin Stark, Josanna Vaz, and Marina Zurita


LAB has shaped this work not just through the access to space, but even more vitally through the instantaneous connection and support of our cohort.
