Mirror, Mirror is a multidisciplinary art installation by Indë, a queer Black artivist born/raised/residing in Northampton, Massachusetts. The exhibit explores intersectional
solidarity, through immersive multimedia compositions and audience participation. In addition to
presenting large figurative paintings, an original soundtrack, mirror/glass-based sculptures, and
a new system of music notation, Indë will debut the music video for “COME ON HOME,” the first track on their upcoming album Role Model

“COME ON HOME” features choir vocals by the Queer Joy Chorus, and the opening scenes of the video were filmed at the 50 Arrow Gallery in Easthampton, where Mirror, Mirror debuted in September 2024. This second iteration at the A.P.E. will feature a host of never-before-seen
artworks, including new paintings and the COME ON HOME music video. The video will premiere at the opening reception on July 25th at 5pm, where Indë will perform the entirety of their album live.

Screenings/performances will take place weekly, supported by a Northampton Open Media production grant. For the schedule, visit artbyinde.com

Indë (they/he) is an artist-scholar born, raised, and residing in Western Massachusetts. They contend with American imperial systems of division, using multimedia compositions to combat
the lynching, disenfranchisement, and misrepresentation of queer Black people. Since completing their undergraduate studies at MassArt and Berklee in Boston, Indë has served as a member of the Northampton Arts Council, and Media Manager at the Northampton Community Music Center.
Indë is a recent recipient of ValleyCreates’ Project Evolution Grant (PEG) and the Club Passim
Iguana Music Fund. Indë is also a recipient of the Mass Cultural Council’s Grants for Creative
Individuals, the CFWM ValleyCreates Artist Capacity-Building Grant, and earned Academic and Departmental Honors from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

A.P.E.'s programming is made possible in part by sustained support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.
