Malaika Ross is a Caribbean American visual artist in Western Massachusetts. In April 2023, she became the one in eight women diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the United States. She’s currently working on The Visibility Project, a series of paintings that center black female breast cancer survivors whose chests were radically transformed after surgical treatment.

A.P.E.'s programming is made possible in part by sustained support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.
